FoxPuppy I don't normally seek out this sort of ambient noise music, so I'm no expert on what it's supposed to sound like, but I went into this EP having no idea what to expect and, honestly, I really enjoyed it. It walks a line between challenging noise collage and musical ambiance very well. The noise textures aren't brutal and seem chosen with care to make the listener think and feel, in a way that is just musical enough to groove along to. My day is better for having experienced this.

fran3000 With its skillful mixture of deeply complex aural maneuverings and ethereal 6 feet under melodies reminiscent of Amon Tobin circa Foley Room, this collection manages to traverse multiple levels of the subconscious upon repeated listens and continues to echo within long before the music is over.

takeshihayashi2 While listening to this album, I had a dream that the stained glass was shattered by the earthquake and I made an object with the fragments. It's not earthly values, but tradition is sometimes glimpsed. Then I woke up and listened to this album again.
It's an amazing creation. Favorite track: Inhalant Survival Series pt.1: Drowning in the Bigot's Rivulet.

prototato An engrossing foray into dark introspection and biting non-neutrality. It's a beautifully crafted package of catharsis that encapsulates an inconsolable unrest. Certainly every bit as compelling and technically masterful as its predecessors. Favorite track: This Usual, Rancid Malevolence (USA! USA!).

about

I'd like to invite you to come, come, come behold the first release from my c.soûle moniker, A Certain Amount of Spillage.

A small man, in frustration and anguish,
hurling a mint-green, nylon lawn chair at the sky,

plucks pieces
from the house, long been sliding down the hill

bundling them, riding them, his not-so-cursed conveyance

down, down, down

down veins of heaving, murderous mud

toward the beautiful work below,

down around the ankles, around the roots, deep in the knock-kneed tissue of it

and soon

I needed to work through some of the more nameless, thick feelings that arise in me these days, from living in a now so distorted as this, much like we are all finding our way, with and sometimes in defiance of hope, blurry hope, of something better bursting through the decay.

Have a listen.

Now I am going to let it go, so rendered, go dig my fingers in what I reckon will prove far more generous dirt.

Enjoy
